For the most part the foreign officers respectfully acknowledge the salute and offer one back. I was floored, and quite upset that. As such, their services do not render a salute, whereas the american forces do consider warrant officers as officers. I agree and support the regulation when it comes to saluting, but the truth is the salute is a time honored recognition between warriors.

He then asked me, hence the posting of the question. Lower enlisted were not saluting, and when he asked them why, they told him that they did not salute warrants in the army.

I Saw A Some Mid Warrants Appointed The Jr Warrant Fridge Duty On Deployment.

While on entry controller duty on my assigned installation we are required to render all proper customs and courtesies to both foreign and domestic officers to include warrant officers. I made a point not being an ass hat to anyone who was professional enough to salute and address me during the next 27 years of service.
