Fly Tying Bead Size Chart - I also have some hot colored ones. The size of the beads usually cover 2 hooks sizes. What bead size goes with what range of hook size. I have seen them tied on 90 degree jig hooks, 60 degree jig hooks, straight down eye, curved nymph hooks and more. Does anyone know of a pdf or web site that may have a chart like this? Find which bead fits which hook the best, and dump the right size bead in with the right size hook. Not sure what sizes hooks to use.

It might sound messy, but in fact it is very organized way to keep your nymph hooks and beads i always have. Use to when i needed beads/cones i would simply walk into the shop, pick up a couple packs in my hand and could tell what size hook the bead fit just my looking at it. That way, whether i am tying a regular fly or a beaded fly, i just reach into that compartment and grab either a hook, a bead, or both. I got an intermediate line, and can't believe how much faster a size 2 with a medium lead eye sinks. Preferably one that lists wire as xsmall small med large as i dont have the dia on spools.
